Tennis

Tennis is a racket sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The game is played on a rectangular court divided by a net, with the objective of hitting a lightweight ball over the net into the opponent’s court. Players score points by successfully landing the ball in the designated areas of the opponent’s side, making it difficult for the opponent to return the ball within the limits of the court.

The sport is governed by specific rules and can be played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard courts. Tennis is also recognized for its tournaments, with four major events known as Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. The game requires a combination of physical fitness, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking, making it both a recreational and competitive sport enjoyed by millions worldwide.
